“I remember the day that our wedding planner, Angie Spencer emailed me to say that she had gotten in touch with an amazing photographer from Canmore who was available for our wedding. I sat there, crossing my fingers and repeating “Oh my god I hope its Julie Williams. Oh my god I hope it’s Julie Williams”.

Well, needless to say I almost fell off the chair when in fact; you were the photographer she was referring to. Even though our decision to get married in the Rockies was not made until well into our engagement, I had been an admirer of your work well before that, as I am obsessed with all things wedding, especially great photography. I honestly could not believe that you were going to be the one to photograph our wedding. It was like winning the lotto!

When our day rolled around and you arrived in my hotel suite, it was as if an old friend had arrived to celebrate with us. You made Brian and I feel so comfortable during the entire shoot, giving us one less thing we had to have on our minds that day. The hours that we spent with you turned out to be the most relaxing and enjoyable part of our entire wedding. This is something we could never thank you enough for.

The images we have are timeless and reflect our personalities and love for each other to a tee. This is not something that every photographer has the talent to do, but for you, Julie Williams, it appears effortless.

“Julie Williams is AWESOME!

Okay seriously though… I (Jessica) met Julie in Nelson while we were in college and learned of her love for photography then, about 5 years ago. Through facebook I had found out that Julie was living in Canmore and was doing professional photography. I was so excited everytime Julie would post pictures from a wedding that she had shot…it became kind of a hobby for me and my man to look at the pictures together. So when it came to find a photographer for our Banff wedding it was only natural to call Julie.

Our wedding was a spontaneous decision and we gave Julie approximately two weeks notice of our plans and she fit us in perfectly. We watched the weather everyday until the day of our wedding and there was a prediction for rain, but Julie assured either rain or shine she would be there to document our day.

We were so happy with the experience that we had with Julie while she was photographing us as she took us to five or six different locations and made us feel very comfortable. At the end of the day we were so excited to see our pictures and…to our surprise Julie had posted some sneak peak pictures that night for us on facebook! We were so happy to see those few images, it added to our already fantastic day. We are very happy with each and every picture and are proud to show them off.

I am always thinking of reasons to call Julie for pictures and would without a doubt get in touch if we ever need a photographer.”

“My only regret in booking with Julie is that we didn’t do it sooner! We have 2 small children, 5 and 21 months and we were a little anxious the day of our photoshoot with Julie since both boys were not in the greatest of moods. The beauty of our experience was her approach, the settings she chose; we barely knew she was shooting and our photographs reflected who we were as a family. My 5 year old quickly warmed up to Julie and he now refers to her as the pretty lady with the long blond hair and patchy blanket (the simplest and best prop ever!).
