LINDSAY+JUSTIN.
2 May 2012In the final days of 2011 I got the inquiry of all inquiries from a gal named Lindsay. Her letter to me was brimming with personality, candid honesty and heartfelt compliments. Lindsay has recently kicked off her own little photography business after stepping away from a very successful, yet horribly uninspiring career in real estate. She had been following this very blog for quite sometime, and when the day came that she and Justin began to plan their wedding she got in touch right away. Messages like Lindsay’s make my heart happy. Eventually when our schedules coincided, we met for a coffee. This coffee date lasted a few good hours…we’ve got a lot in common!
I can’t begin to mention how excited I am to be shooting her and Justin’s Bragg Creek thoughtfully-styled campsite wedding in August, these two truly are the perfect match. Between now and then, she and I will be doing a bit of work side by side and will very likely have developed a bond a bit beyond that of the typical client-photographer relationship.

PHALAN+DEVON
30 Apr 2012Phalan and Devon are a couple of lovebirds and fellow artists residing in Calgary. The two of them are planning a September 22 wedding at one of my new favorite local venues, the Grande Rockies Resort. We had the very most beautiful of spring days yet in 2012 for their engagement session last weekend.
Also, while I’ve got your attention…starting next week, JWphoto will be teaming up with my very favorite self-proclaimed happy-go-lucky wedding enthusiast, Callandra from Cherry Tree Occasions for a pretty fun and interactive giveaway. We’ll both be posting sneak peeks and teasers on our Facebook pages in the coming days, the stakes are pretty high, so I definitely recommend you stay in touch for details.

WILLIAM+JENNY
27 Apr 2012Well, I’m so pleased to finally allow you to meet William and Jenny, a couple who has a pretty big day planned to take place in late-August. A day which I can hardly wait to photograph.
These two own an immaculate vintage Airstream trailer [let me rephrase that: one immaculate Airstream, and another one in the works of becoming immaculate...] Clearly their beloved camping trailer must be included as a focal point of their wedding celebrations deep in the Kananaskis Valley! Sound familiar? [...for those of you just tuning in, Adam & I were also wed in the bush at a camping-inspired wedding last August.] I’m so happy to be returning to the site [a slightly offbeat site, let me mention] where we said our “I do’s” almost exactly a year later, this time on the other side of the lens.
