I’m so, so, so pleased to see a handful of my images published in the premier issue of Luxe Mountain Weddings. Earlier this year, the publisher Debbie got in touch with me asking if I’d be interested in submitting some work to the magazine. I most certainly was and sent along a link to Amber and Andy’s wedding…she instantly was smitten with the fact that the entire bridal party hit the local pond for a few laps on their ice skates! I’m so happy to be featured in this publication alongside several talented mountain photographers from across North America, including a couple other Bow Valley locals including Tessa Perkins, John Bonner and Andrew Dickinson who snagged the cover page with a stunning image from a Moraine Lake Elopement. You can peruse the entire magazine online here.
It’s no surprise that this new magazine has been getting a bit of buzz amongst the mountain wedding community. Over the weekend, Christie, from Hindsight Bride, a former mountain bride herself, blogged about her love for the brand new publication. You can order your copy online here.
A couple days ago I came home to a great surprise – a nice shiny stack of the latest edition of Weddings in Alberta. An event I photographed last winter weddings is featured within the pages of this particular issue, Lauren and Neal’s Canmore wedding. Lauren’s family has a second home here in Canmore meaning she and Neal spend lots of their free weekends in this part of the world. She digs the mountains, loves to vintage shop, and enjoys good food, beer and wine. Needless to say the two of us have since become friends, so it was extra neat for me to see the two of them in print. I just LOVE this magazine – the layouts are so professional and clean, the print quality is great…and every last bit of content is so relevant to our local industry.
I’d like to say a real big thank you to Jennifer Bergman who was the wedding coordinator. The day was not only only straight-up lovely, but she also helped to organize the submission for publication. And lastly, my great friend and second shooter for the day, Tessa Perkins was SUCH a help and all-around pleasure to work with.
I get seriously giddy when I see my images anywhere but on my own website. This spring I’ve been so lucky to have many of my weddings featured on a selection of really great blogs. There is so much wedding inspiration out there online. I wanted to say thanks to all the websites who have recently shared my images.
Amber and Andy’s Stewart Creek Wedding was featured on the Weddings in Alberta blog not long ago. Click here for the article. Brides, if you head to the site you can sign up for an account and receive a free subscription to the monthly magazine.
Erin and Dave’s local outdoor autumn wedding was featured on Hindsight Bride. I just love this particular blog – it’s geared 100% towards mountain weddings with a strong emphasis on DIY elements and always offers great advice from the featured brides.
Images from Olivia and Casey’s beautiful big day at Emerald Lake Lodge was published on Destination Inspirations. [...keep your eyes open in the next few weeks for this couple to make another appearance on my blog!]
Also, my frequent updates on our own wedding plans have got a bit of attention in the recent weeks. Christie from Hindsight Bride contacted me wanting to do a little interview about our DIY projects and other ideas we’ve been brewing to share with her readers.

And lastly, I’m excited to have been invited to do some guest blogging over at the Budget Savvy Bride. [Secret's out, I'm a budget bride! GASP.] Over the next couple months, I’ll candidly be chatting about our plans, projects and overall experience.
