Jon and Valerie traveled to Lake Louise from their home in Texas for their recent intimate wedding on the August long weekend. It was a particularly stunning day, weather-wise and I have never, EVER seen the grounds of the Chateau quite this busy…the lake was bustling with visitors from far and wide on their wedding day! We certainly had some rather interesting encounters, and plenty of laughs while navigating the waterfront and woods surrounding the famous lake during our little photo shoot. Valerie has created a really unique wedding blog, Pieceful Weddings. I just knew their day would be well coordinated with tons of personal and thoughtful touches.

The Victoria Terrace is a pretty perfect spot for a ceremony.

The ceremony was performed by Jon’s father.

This was my favorite detail of the day: Valerie’s mother crafted these thoughtful pearl cuff bracelets for herself and her daughter…the flower is made from pieces of her own wedding dress and her late husband’s tuxedo! In addition, Valerie made a cute heart pin for each of the guests to wear.

Valerie and her mum are very crafty ladies. The chair ties and table runner were both made by her mum and Valerie made the wooden placeholders for each guest.
