I just love it when the last conversation I have with the bride before the wedding includes the question, “so, am I going to be needing my skis?” Especially when the answer is a big old: “YES!”
Winter wedding lovers are going to go just wild for Chantelle and Christien‘s thoughtfully styled cozy, rustic and intimate wedding hosted at a quaint mountain cabin, the Winston Lodge right up at Kicking Horse Resort in Golden. I have a serious soft spot for these two, they are just absolutely smitten with each other…Christien only has to send a tiny glance in Chantelle’s direction for the biggest, most sincere smile to appear…it’s contagious! It was the perfect day including a gondola ride, a ski run and solid dance party. These ski enthusiasts have just returned from a go-with-the-flow, powder-chasing honeymoon. Chantelle & Christien, thank you SO much for having me around for your day!
Chantelle and her sister look so alike…I also grew up alongside a younger sister with an eerily similar resemblance.
They included my favorite mini-ritual into the ceremony, the love letter & wine box. The box was crafted by Naturally Chic.
Okay – just a quick word about Chantelle and Christien’s rad neice and nephew: these two Golden locals were up bright and early for a ski race at the hill, once that had wrapped up, they had a quick change in preparation for their wedding party duties…and still managed to rock the dance floor into the wee hours of the party. I think they even snuck away during the afternoon to attend the medal ceremony for the ski team.
I’m always a tad jealous of couples who can actually DANCE…Adam & I are an absolutely hilarious disaster on the dance floor!
10:30pm, still going strong. Mountain kids are the coolest.
