MATT+KIRSTY.
31 Jan 2011Matt & Kirsty recently hosted their wedding at the Chateau Lake Louise. They had guests in attendance from all over North America – themselves from Chicago and many of had come out from BC. It really wouldn’t be a winter trip to Alberta from BC without a bit of road report drama between Revelstoke and Golden. Despite the winter driving conditions everyone was able to make it to the other side of the Rockies for the festivities.

While I was in with the girls, my second shooter, Jesse tracked down the fellas.

We set up a ‘first look’ on the terrace.

Jesse’s view on the left and mine on the right.

Kirsty tracked down these cute signs.

Kirsty’s brother, Scott, was in charge of the very short and very sweet ceremony in the Sun Room.

Patrick Smiley was the event DJ. His new, stylish microphone definitely adds to his cool factor.

DIANA. BANFF BRIDAL PORTRAITS.
28 Jan 2011Diana and her mum had come up to Banff from Texas for a wedding planning mission on the chilliest, snowiest week of January. It’s quite common for Southern brides to have professional bridal portraits done before their wedding. Diana wasn’t able to bring her wedding dress all they way from home on this trip, but conveniently, her white graduation dress still fits like a glove! Since she was already fancied up after her hair and makeup trial we decided to do a few bridal-inspired portraits around the Banff Springs Hotel, where she and John will be hosting their wedding next August. I loved the fun boots and fur jacket Diana brought along for accessories.
ps. I have to thank Mr. Eric Daigle who was also working at the hotel this afternoon. When his job was wrapped up, he tracked us down and offered to help me with some different lighting ideas I was envisioning…I’m glad he showed up because my arms aren’t quite long enough to achieve what I had in mind all on my own!
